Take a Peek Into Crestwood Preschool Academy

If you’re curious about what a normal day is like at Crestwood Preschool Academy, look no further! Here’s what children experience every day at our daycare and preschool.

Educational Activities

Crestwood Preschool Academy uses an age-appropriate curriculum to engage each child and help them succeed in their educational milestones. Not only do we teach literacy, art, and math skills, but we also emphasize social, emotional, and physical skills.

Special Activities

Children want to try new and exciting things, just like adults. Our teachers provide a variety of special activities that coincide with our outstanding curriculum.

Even our infant and toddler classrooms incorporate fun but age-appropriate activities, like foot or finger painting, dance music, puppets, and more!

These activities enrich the curriculum, expand your child’s world, and encourage friendships with peers and teachers.

Physical Activities

At Crestwood Preschool Academy, we know that gross motor development is key to a well-rounded life and maintaining a healthy weight. Exercise releases endorphins and helps them sleep well at night.

As much as possible, we let children play outside on our huge interactive playground, where they can explore nature and challenge their physical capabilities.

If the weather prevents outdoor playtime, our teachers adapt the classroom to accommodate physical activity. Each teacher may choose a different activity, such as an obstacle course, dance party, or yoga. Other fun games like Simon Says or Red Light, Green Light are popular favorites that use minimal space but get your child active.

Our goal for infants is to let them explore their environment using whatever physical capabilities they currently have. Our teachers are always helping the infants progress to the next gross motor milestone.

Down Time

Everyone needs some quiet time to themselves, even the extroverted and energetic kids!

Each classroom includes a quiet area for reading or resting. Younger children take naps in cribs or on cots. Older children may color, draw, or craft during quiet time.

Free Play

Children need free play time to use their imaginations! We provide items like costumes, scarves, and props so children can create their own stories during free play.

Crestwood Preschool Academy is proud to offer an outstanding educational and fun curriculum that prepares your child for kindergarten per state academic standards.
